@task continues to push the pace of product innovation with the scheduled release of @task R9 this September. Here’s a highlight of just a few of the powerful new tools included in the upcoming release:
•Scheduled Reporting — Assign a schedule to a list of reports, (including an e-mail list), and automatically send progress reports to project stakeholders on a predetermined schedule.
•MS Project bi-directional sync with @task — Organizations who prefer to build their projects in MS Project, can upload projects created in MS Project to @task and also push the updated information back to Project, giving MS Project users accurate and up-to-date information too.
•Even faster Gantt chart functionality — We’ve improved the speed and efficiency of our interactive Gantt chart functionality.
•Open anything in @task — Set up tabs in @task to open applications like Salesforce.com or other web pages right inside @task.
Look for these powerful features and more in the R9 release of @task coming this September. |

The second quarter of 2008 was AtTask’s best quarter ever, with the company welcoming more than 560 new customers. A key component of AtTask’s record-setting growth was its UK expansion, where new customers include Weetabix, First Group and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt.
“Our successful second quarter reflects the tremendous response we’re seeing from enterprises as well as SMBs all over the world,” said Scott Johnson, AtTask’s CEO. “@task helps companies execute their business strategies more effectively, which is more important than ever given the current state of the global economy.”

@task provides a number of ways to view project information. One of the less heralded tools helping you view information in a meaningful way, is sorting.
Did you know… that you can now perform primary, secondary, and tertiary sorting on lists of information?!
Now, when looking at a list view of any information, you can sort dynamically not just by a single column, but also on a secondary and tertiary level with other columns. For instance, if you were looking at a list of tasks, you could first sort by ‘planned start date’, then by ‘assigned to’, and then ‘priority’.
When looking at a list, simply click on the column heading of the first column you wish to sort by. Next, hold down the ‘control’ button (or Apple button for Mac users) and click on the second column. This can be repeated for a third column. A nice feature of this sorting is that it will ‘stick’ when you group or when you leave the list and come back.
And now you know…!
